HN VIDEO: If you haven’t seen this video, you “otter!”

HYANNIS – Barnstable Police squad cars responded to the area of Main Street and Barnstable Road earlier at about 6:30 pm after receiving reports of an otter going door-to-door along the sidewalk…

… and as you will see in the following HN Dashcam Video, some type of black otter-like creature was caught on video scampering across the street at the intersection of Main Street and Ocean Street.

But was it an Otter?

It was all black and had a long tail… most certainly otter-esque.

Others have speculated it could have actually been a ferret… or fisher… or maybe a wayward mongoose… or even a weird looking cat!

But HN learned for sure…

… that it wasn’t sticking around to pose for a proper picture! By the time I could safely pull over and grab my camera, rikki-tikki-tavi was long gone. Like Gone Baby Gone!

(I hate when that happens.)

Whatever it was, it also managed to outfox the BPD’s dragnet…

… at least for the time being. 😉
