WEST BARNSTABLE – Residents were alarmed when a vehicle left the roadway, crashed through a fence and stone wall in front of their home on Route 6A earlier this evening…
… and then the driver reportedly left the scene, according to radio transmissions.
The young male driver was in the back of an ambulance about 2 blocks from the crash when HN arrived on scene.
It’s uncertain what caused the crash… and what caused the driver to leave the scene…

UPDATE: The Cape Cod Times reports that a 22-year-old Centerville man is being charged criminally for leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.
