Initial HN report:
As you will see and hear in the following video, Yarmouth Police are investigating a home invasion where 4 fully loaded semi-automatic firearms were reportedly stolen.
It happened at about 2:30AM at 21 Monroe Lane. At about 2:39AM, a Yarmouth Patrolman was flagged down near to the crime scene…
According to radio transmissions, 3 males, reportedly wearing bandannas, speaking Spanish, possibly in their early 20s, stole electronics and a safe containing weapons.
Yarmouth patrol officers, assisted by state troopers, responded to the scene.
There was mention of knives, bats, and pipes… but at this time it’s still uncertain how they may have been used during the crime.
The 3 suspects fled on foot. A K-9 team had an active track going for about two blocks, but then the trail went cold… at which point it’s speculated the suspects got into a motor vehicle and left the area.
A young adult male and female were taken back to Yarmouth Police Headquarters to give statements. They were later returned back home.
No further information was available at the time of this report.
