HYANNIS – According to police sources, the last word on the patient is that he was taken from CCH to a Boston area hospital with injuries described as “soft tissue damage.”
At about 8:44 p.m. last evening, police and firefighters rushed to Iyannough Road near the intersection with Cedar Street (a short distance west of Midas Muffler) for a pedestrian struck and seriously injured by a motor vehicle.
According to Captain Mark Storie of the Hyannis Fire Department, a male, approximately 40-years-old, was initially taken to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries described as “serious” and “life-threatening.”
A Barnstable Police accident reconstruction expert was brought in to investigate.
The driver of the motor vehicle reportedly remained on scene…
