HN VIDEO: Police scramble to find fleeing driver who had just slammed into two vehicles…
HYANNIS – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, police are looking for the driver of a gray 2015 Volkswagen GTI, plate number 9HE 657, with a status of “canceled” out of Somerville MA. The driver reportedly struck two vehicles at the intersection of Route 28 and Hinckley Road.
According to witnesses, the fleeing Volkswagen initially drove down Hinckley Road before doubling back and pulling back out onto Route 28 toward the Airport Rotary.
The crash happened shortly before 11:00 p.m. and the following HN Footage shows the scene just moments after the suspect vehicle fled the area. Barnstable Police Officers arrived on scene shortly after the start of the HN footage.
The suspect and suspect vehicle have not yet been located, and officers are still investigating…
