HYANNIS – A witness alerted police that a white Nissan Pathfinder had just struck a pole on Sea Street before leaving the scene, driving in the direction of Main Street, yesterday – Saturday, 8/1/2020 – early in the morning.
The tip allowed Barnstable Police patrol cars to quickly catch up to and stop the alleged suspect vehicle nearby, back at an address on Sea Street.
Upon further investigation, including field sobriety tests, officers charged a male suspect with Operating Under the Influence, Operating to Endanger, and Leaving the Scene of an Accident with Property Damage.
