HYANNIS – Officers are still trying to figure out who was driving when a car landed on its roof early this morning.
A Barnstable Police Lieutenant came across the crash on Bearses Way near the roundabout in front of the Hyannis Youth and Community Center, a 15 MPH zone.
All passengers were outside of the vehicle when first responders arrived, with one person obviously overwrought, especially upon realizing things could have been much worse. Although rattled, nobody needed hospitalization.
Passengers reportedly told police that the driver who fled was unknown to them. The investigation remains active and ongoing. The following HN Video highlights the scene.
