HYANNIS, Massachusetts – HN PHOTO (Above) – Shortly after midnight, 51-year-old Stephen Bartlett says he was texting his daughter from underneath the well-lighted sign of a quiet shopping plaza, just prior to bedding down for the remainder. Steven and his 13-year-old dog (“Buddy,” if I recall correctly…) set up camp in the doorway of an abandoned business shortly after this photo.

HYANNIS, Massachusetts – HN FREEZE FRAME – Earlier Friday evening, a Barnstable Police K9 Officer had a word with a man who was reportedly witnessed with a knife during some type of volatile disturbance in the Hyannis East End. The man mentioned having a knife to protect himself from being “jumped.” Since no actual “victims” came forward, the man was not wanted for any crime… and therefore was free to continue on his way…
