*** WATCH *** RESCUE FROM HYANNIS WOODS: Wounded homeless woman found suffering in squalor…
HYANNIS – Police and firefighters found the middle-aged woman in agonizing pain, suffering inside a small tent at about 2:45 a.m. this morning. She was completely isolated and unable to walk, experiencing unbearable hip pain. The tent was found in squalor, in an isolated unsanitary camp far from everything, including clean running water or bathroom facilities.
It was oppressively hot and sticky when a friend of the woman called police early this morning, concerned she may have been in distress and in need of immediate medical attention, possibly related to injuries sustained during a fight. Another caller stated they believed the woman had just suffered a seizure.
As you’ll see in the following HN Video, police arrived and began searching for the woman. The area’s vegetation was overgrown and pervaded with hazards, such as poison ivy and insects, including ticks. The entire area surrounding the camp was unkempt and saturated with inhospitable filth.
These “living conditions” were inhumane, to say the least.
The woman, approximately in her early 40s, was transported to the emergency room at Cape Cod Hospital.
