Happy Meal mission no joke for local sisters… [HN PHOTOS]

HYANNIS – [HN NOTES] – Tatiana (4 years, 6 months old) and Ashley (1 year, 4 months old) felt the MacDonald’s Happy Meals calling them from across the parking lot early last evening. The two sisters were on mission for burgers, fries, and a small plastic toy. It was serious. Speed and rugged tires mattered. Their pink plastic Jeep, up-fitted with an off-road light bar, black grill guard and skid plate (just in case), was the logical choice.
They both knew things could get hairy. The pavement still had scattered snow mounds and ice patches. And they’d be crossing the notorious parking lot at the corner of Main Street and High School Road, a known hangout for burly motor heads, greasers, and geeks. Things could get nasty. Both sisters realized this but put the pedal to the plastic anyways…
… this wasn’t a game and they weren’t playing. And as we all well know, there are very few things that can stand in the way of a couple of hungry tots on a full-blown hamburger, French fry bender. Half measures are generally forbidden on a fast food spree of this nature. Freshly juiced-up wheels, speed, and a whole-lotta of attitude are paramount! * SNAP * “We got this!” I thought I heard one of the sisters say to the other…
The above HN photos show the two sisters on their triumphant return, Happy Meals in the back, parents Santiago and Tania smiling…
… mission accomplished!
It was a good day.
