HN PHOTOS: Officers keeping the peace…
HYANNIS – [HN NOTES] – The above photos show cops dealing with a disturbance between a group of young adult males on Main Street shortly after bar closing this morning. A couple of the more agitated males were still shooting their mouths off as HN arrived on scene… yet officers were able to persuade everyone to settle down. Peace was restored…
Earlier in the evening, police responded to Baxters Boathouse for an individual who wanted to enter the bar along with his dog after closing time. The male told staff his dog was a service animal… but that claim turned out to be irrelevant because the establishment was already closed for the evening. The adult male reportedly appeared intoxicated and was behaving belligerently upon being denied entry… and he allegedly also alluded to hunting and killing humans upon being asked to leave the property. Staff felt threatened and called police. The male had left the area driving a pickup truck prior to officers arriving on scene. A search of the area had negative results. Officers have a possible identity for the individual and the incident remains under investigation. Coincidentally, a patrolman had made contact with the individual in question earlier in the evening in the Main Street area. The male reportedly had blown his cover when he told the officer he was secret government agent. The male was reportedly wearing a U.S. Marine-style hat, but when asked if he was a Marine he clarified he was not an ordinary Marine… but rather a member of an elite, top secret branch of the Marines that nobody knows about… (until now, of course…)
And in a separate incident, shortly prior to writing this report, police responded to a Hyannis address for a report of an adult female yelling and wanting to fight another female inside the residence. The belligerent female had left the area prior to cops arriving on scene…
… and according to yet more completely separate radio traffic, some people were a little chippy as stores opened this morning in the towns of Yarmouth and Barnstable. There were at least two simultaneous calls where police responded to reports of angry convenient store customers causing a ruckus… all normal indicators that summer is upon us. And from what I learned earlier on, there may also be at least one elite (albeit confrontational), top secret government operative walking among us as well!
My goodness! (But aside from all that, it was relatively chill for a Friday last evening…)
