The past two evenings were relatively quiet… except for the ‘Little Darlin’s’ in Sandwich…
HYANNIS – It was relatively quiet last evening. The streets were empty and there seemed to be the slight whiff of fall in the air.
As you will see in the following brief video, one woman didn’t want to leave a local bar at closing time… so police had to go in and get her…
… but aside from that, everything was pretty ‘chill.’

… the intoxicated female was taken back to Barnstable Police Headquarters in protective custody.
It was, in fact, relatively quiet across the entire Mid-Cape for the past two evenings!
Some Sandwich parents, however, received an unexpected awakening late Tuesday evening, when they had to go get their teenage offspring after a group thought it would be a good idea to suddenly take off from police.
HN started heading toward Sandwich for what sounded like an active foot chase. It turned out to be juveniles acting foolishly…
As you will hear in the following audio, officers were initially inquiring about a K-9, but no units were available at the time of the call.
Officers rounded up several of the little darlin’s and parents were called to come get ’em…
Hardly the story of the century…

HN NOTE: It can be pretty boring when things are quiet. I don’t wish for things to happen… but I do wish to be there when they do.
Contrary to what many would expect, the fall months up until Christmas tend to be pretty busy in terms of news. So stay tuned! But in the meantime, you know what they say, ‘no news is good news…’ Right? 😉
