*** LISTEN *** SPRAWLING CHAOTIC CRIME SCENE, INCLUDING CAR FIRE, ROAD CLOSURE, AND FIGHTS, AFTER REPORTS OF PERSON ARRIVING AT CAPE COD HOSPITAL WITH GUNSHOT WOUND… DEVELOPING…
TOWN OF BARNSTABLE, Massachusetts – As you will hear in the following HN Video, patrol cars were dispatched to Hamblin’s Pond in Marstons Mills last evening for reports of shots fire. The first patrol officer arrived and saw nothing, reporting that the area checked “10-4.”
Then about the same time, Barnstable squad cars were dispatched to a report of a vehicle fire with parties fighting in the roadway on Route 28 in the area of Renoir Drive in Osterville. Firefighters arrived and Route 28 was completely shut down.
Then, also around the same time, and as you will hear in the following HN Video, police began responding to the emergency room at Cape Cod Hospital for some type of problem. (Several sources would later report it was person who walked in with a gunshot wound.) Police dispatch would not release the particulars over the air, but as you will hear, some type of major disturbance broke out in front of the emergency room (with one officer calling “all units down here, now!”), requiring dispatch to call Yarmouth Police and State Police for mutual aid. Officers on scene were eventually able to quell the disturbance as the investigation continued at the Route 28 vehicle fire and Hamblin’s Pond.

According to police sources, the investigation is very active and ongoing at the time of this report. The condition of the person who suffered the gunshot wound (or wounds) was unknown at the time of this report. [DEVELOPING]
