*** WATCH *** Marstons Mills man walks away from severely damaged wreck only to face criminal charges…
MARSTONS MILLS – A Marstons Mills man was extremely lucky to walk away from a “severely” damaged single vehicle crash with non-life threatening injuries last evening, but not so lucky in that he’s facing criminal motor vehicle charges, according to police sources on scene.
The single vehicle crash happened around 10:00 p.m. last evening on Route 149 near the intersection with Roseland Ter.. The first officer on scene observed that the driver had left the scene. Officers went to a nearby Wheeler Road address and located the alleged driver. He appeared banged up but was able to walk out to an awaiting ambulance. He was eventually transported to CCH.
Back at the crash scene, Route 149 had to be completely shut down for a period of time as a tow truck driver had trouble removing a large tree from the roof of the heavily damaged vehicle… but his persistence eventually paid off…
