HYANNIS – A Marstons Mills woman was arrested for allegedly driving while drunk after her car crashed into the rear end of another vehicle near the intersection of Route 28 and Strawberry Hill Road last night.

Whitney McGuirl, age 51, of Marstons Mills was taken into custody and charged with Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, as well as Operating to Endanger.

McGuirl was transported back to BPD Headquarters for booking. Her vehicle was towed from the scene.

The person that was hurt and transported to CCH had non-life-threatening injuries. The patient was reportedly a female and the driver of the other vehicle (but that information was unable to be officially confirmed at the time of this report).
