MASHPEE – Upon arrival, first responders noticed heavy smoke and flames reaching above the roof line…
At about 11:15 p.m., Mashpee firefighters raced to 69 Trout Brook Road after receiving calls about a fire that started on the outside of the home before working it’s way into the interior.
The working fire immediately went to a second alarm because there were no hydrants near the scene.
First responders reported that all occupants had made it out of the building, including two dogs – one elderly – and a cat…
As you will see in the following HN Footage, firefighters had knocked down the flames just prior to HN arriving on scene.
According to radio traffic, the Red Cross will be providing temporary shelter to the occupants, as the dwelling was reportedly uninhabitable at the time of this report.
According to sources, the State Fire Marshal was called to investigate. Fire Marshals investigated this evening and are planning on returning to the scene in the morning with an accelerant sniffing dog… [DEVELOPING]
