NEIGHBORS WERE SHOCKED: B&E suspect threatened to kill cops and bury them in his back yard… [VIDEO]
HYANNIS — Police and witnesses say the suspect walked out of the crime scene warning he had knives and shovels… that he was going to kill cops and bury them in his backyard.
Police rushed to 257 Mitchells Way earlier this evening for a B&E in progress.
The suspect was reportedly spotted breaking into the home by a remote video monitoring system. The suspect turned out to be the homeowner’s brother and police were immediately notified.
Responding squad cars were cautioned regarding the homicidal threats previously reported to dispatch…
HN arrived moments after police safely detained the man just a short distance from the crime scene…
Neighbors, including parents and children, say the man exited the home with the homeowner’s dog, telling them to warn the responding cops that he intended to kill them.
The suspect was transported to the emergency room at CCH in a patrol car, which was closely followed by another in case backup was needed.
Officials had a Section 12 for the suspect and HN has opted to block the man’s facial image for the time being as he undergoes a psychological evaluation….
The homeowner was not at the crime scene. Her pet was recovered not far from the home, slightly anxious, but unharmed… and police eventually secured the dog in an airconditioned bedroom inside of the home.
The suspect is subject to being summonsed at a later time on criminal charges related to today’s B&E…
