Paranormal Hyannis News image goes national…
HyannisNews.com readers deserve local information on all things, seen or unseen…
… that’s my goal…
… and every once in a while I inadvertently photograph something that captures the imagination of my visitors in ways that could never be anticipated.
A recently published Hyannis News photo has received a number of interesting reader responses…
Viewers were drawn to an unusual apparition in the “top photo” of the recent Centerville blaze coverage… [click here to see the original story]
When “the apparition” was first pointed out to me, I didn’t think much of it.
But as others examined it, the specter-like figure took on a life of its own and I received more and more comments and inquiries as time went by…
A mother of a firefighter on scene noticed it after a friend pointed it out, finding it amazing…
Some viewers were creeped-out, saying it looked like a ghost…
Others were comforted, adamant the photo had captured an angel…
Although not a big believer in the paranormal, I am open to the existence of angels. I must admit, however, that I have never actually seen one…
From what I’ve read, some believe angels are able to take whatever form they wish, possessing powers that exceed all human comprehension…
… theoretically, they could even use the spray of a fire hose to show themselves!
A heavy sad feeling weighed upon that night due to reports that a family dog possibly had been trapped inside the fire…
Like many, throughout this life I have witnessed the gravest of images first hand… In a way, I have even become desensitized to death and trauma when I’m not emotionally attached to the person…
… but having said that, nothing affects me more than the suffering of innocent animals…
… especially dogs.
I examined the image a bit closer and started to see what others were talking about…
My whimsical late-night imagination began to toy with the notion the figure was an angel looking in to care and bring peace to a trapped dog…
… in that frame of mind I could faintly see a halo and wings…
Was this unusual image a Rescue Angel sent down to comfort a creature in peril?
I would like to believe so… how else could anyone come to terms with the thought of a loving dog trapped, frightened, and all alone…
… by the way, sources have unofficially told me the dog perished inside the burning home… (the poor little thing.)
Part wanting to believe… and part looking for some much needed levity after that experience… I sent the photo off to the experts at Coast to Coast AM for analysis.
Coast to Coast AM is a North American late-night radio talk show that often deals with topics surrounding the paranormal.
It’s very entertaining, whether you believe or not…
I’m hoping at least one of Coast to Coast AM’s 3 million nightly listeners will be able to shed some light on this perplexing photographic anomaly.
Like I said, I don’t really believe too much in the paranormal…
or do I?
Hyannis News will provide updates to this story as they become available.
