Pedestrians down… [Updated info & photos]
Hyannis – At approximately 1am police reported a car struck two pedestrians in front of the British Bear Company… and that both pedestrians were injured and down in the street.
Hyannis Rescue arrived quickly, placing a man and a woman onto stretchers and transporting them in separate ambulances to CCH with serious non-life-threatening injuries.
Both victims were struck after someone tried to jump start a car and it accidentally slipped into gear.
Local bars were in the process of closing as numerous patrons spilled out onto the sidewalk and witnessed the mishap.
It was a horrifying moment for both the victims and their friends.
