Police investigating after woman found unconscious in rolling vehicle, bleeding from the mouth… [HN VIDEO]
CENTERVILLE, Massachusetts – Barnstable Police and COMM Firefighters rushed to the intersection of South Main Street and Hi-Ona Hill Road Wednesday afternoon, after reports of an unconscious woman behind the wheel of a vehicle that was still rolling. The woman was also said to have been bleeding heavily from the mouth. Bystanders were able to intervene and place the vehicle in park prior to first responders arriving on scene.
The woman was placed into a COMM ambulance where she eventually regained consciousness. Officers believe the Mercedes driven by the young woman had sideswiped a telephone pole in the area.
The woman was transported to Cape Cod Hospital.
The Barnstable Police are investigating what caused the woman to lose consciousness and control of her vehicle. No other vehicles were reported to be involved. Traffic was slowed to one lane as first responders worked the scene…
UPDATE: There was no airbag deployment.
