Police looking for suspect in Cotuit armed robbery… [VIDEO]
COTUIT – As you will hear in the following video, police are looking for a male who alluded to having a firearm while robbing a gas station last evening.
Shortly after 9:00PM, a young male wearing a hoodie and cargo shorts entered the Gulf Station on Route 28, near to the Barnstable/Mashpee town line, and just west of the intersection with Route 130.
According to sources, the man grabbed the cash register drawer and made off with what was described as a substantial amount of cash.
According to one source, the suspect appeared to be a young man… but was unable to provide further details…
The following video contains several additional suspect details captured in actual radio transmissions from both Mashpee and Barnstable police…
To avoid being followed, the suspect reportedly warned store employees that he had a gun.
A Yarmouth K-9 unit assisted in the search.
The investigation is very active and ongoing…
