Sandwich police investigating after SUV landed on its roof, draped with wires… [HN VIDEO]
SANDWICH – The first police officers on scene encountered a dangerous situation, a snapped utility pole with wires down on an overturned SUV, and a driver reportedly out walking around…
As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, at around 11:10 p.m. last evening, Sandwich police and firefighters responded to Pinkham Road after a nearby resident heard a loud crash. It turned out to be a vehicle on it’s roof, after it apparently had just struck a utility pole.
The driver was evaluated by rescue on scene, and was not transported to hospital.
Pinkham Road needed to be completely shut down in the area of Stowe Road as police secured and investigated the scene. An officer alerted Eversource to send out a crew to repair the downed pole and wires. A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene unit took photos of the scene.
There were no further details available at the time of this report. [DEVELOPING]
