SHOCK: Marstons Mills armed robbery was an inside job… [New HN video]
Marstons Mills – Police are saying the armed robbery at Pizza 1 Subs 2 this past Monday night involved a second suspect, an employee of the store that was behind the counter.

The following are statements from today’s Barnstable Police press release:
During the incident a masked male entered the restaurant, threatened an employee with a knife, and demanded money.
The suspect then climbed onto the counter and removed cash from the register.
The employee fled to the rear of the business and alerted her co-workers including Kathleen Lehane (age 26 of Cotuit).
On 3/18/14, Barnstable Detectives developed information suggesting Lehane may have been involved with setting up the Robbery.
Detectives Jason Laber and Kevin Connolly conducted an extensive interview with Lehane which led to uncovering a conspiracy between Lehane and Travis French (age 28 of Centerville) to stage the Robbery while Lehane was working at the restaurant.
The plan went askew when French arrived later than planned to commit the Robbery.
Because of the late arrival, Lehane was not at the counter and was in the back of the restaurant washing dishes.
An unsuspecting/uninvolved 21 year old female employee was ultimately threatened/robbed with the knife by French.
Approximately $400 was taken from the cash register.
Lehane has worked at the business for several years.
Barnstable Detectives subsequently located and arrested Travis French last night in Centerville.
Both French and Lehane were charged with Armed Robbery While Masked.
Both suspects were arraigned in Barnstable District Court this morning.
French’s bail was set at $15,000 and Lehane’s was set at $5,000.
The investigation continues and another arrest is anticipated.
