STABBING: Night out turns violent between friends… bleeding mother taken to CCH with uninjured 4-year-old son at her side… [VIDEO]
BARNSTABLE – A young mother had lost a significant amount of blood when she was found down on the ground, her 4-year-old son at her side…
Shortly after 9:00PM last evening, police and Barnstable Rescue responded to the Village Green Apartments at 767 Independence Drive, after a man discovered a woman down and bleeding from the hand… asking him to call 911…
As the saying goes, ‘two’s company, three’s a crowd…’ and according to sources, three friends had been out visiting family when tensions started between two of the friends vying for the attention of the third.
There had been drinking and animosity escalating throughout the evening. But when they all returned back to one of the Village Green Apartments, that’s when things really became out of control…
The 24-year-old female victim was reportedly just getting out of the shower when she heard the fight. She rushed into the living room expecting to break up fisticuffs, when she encountered one of her friends allegedly waving a knife wildly.
The victim was in the process of raising her hand to stop the violence when the knife caught her, causing two nasty one inch lacerations to her right hand.
As you will hear in the following video, the victim was found down and bleeding from the hand, her young son at her side…
Ashley Goode, age 25, of the Hyannis area, was arrested shortly after police arrived.
When HN arrived, police were cuffing Goode, who appeared extremely agitated.
Goode was transported back to Barnstable Police Headquarters where she was charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (a knife), Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon, and Disorderly Conduct. Goode was also held in Protective Custody due to her alleged high level of intoxication.
The 4-year-old boy was not in the room when the violence erupted. He was not harmed physically, but did witness his wounded mother, her bloody hand wrapped in a towel. The young boy was transported along with his mother to CCH where she was treated for her injuries.
The following video documents the volatile scene moments after the arrival of police…
