Struck girlfriend with motor vehicle…
Hyannis – Multiple police squad cars converged on a black Dodge Neon this afternoon for a domestic disturbance where a boyfriend allegedly backed a car over his girlfriend during an argument which began in the West Main Street area.
At approximately 3pm Barnstable Officers were dispatched to the North Street area to search for a boyfriend and girlfriend driving in a black Neon.
The girlfriend had called and officers were informed she had been struck by a vehicle, and that the boyfriend may have backed the car over her in some way back where the argument first started.
This got the attention of additional police personnel in the area…

The vehicle was located by a Street Crimes Unit and other patrol cars near the intersection of North Street and Winter Street.

Although visibly upset, the girlfriend was able to stand. Officers separated the two while gathering information and statements.
Rescue did not respond to the scene.
Peter Pileeki, age 49, of Hyannis was arrested and charged with Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon for allegedly striking his girlfriend with the motor vehicle. He was also charged with A&B Domestic, along with Intimidation of a Witness.
The incident and report was assigned to Barnstable Patrolman Rob Bitinas.
