Kirk was addressing a large crowd at an outdoor “Prove Me Wrong” debate, part of Turning Point USA’s American Comeback Tour, when a single shot was fired from approximately 200 yards away, striking him in the neck. He recoiled in his seat, blood visibly gushing from his neck, as the crowd screamed and scattered in panic.
