RETURN OF THE GOOD SHEPHERD: Augusto seeks help locating the owner of lost German Shepherd... [VIDEO]
HYANNIS – HN received an urgent call this afternoon from Augusto Deoliveira, “The Good Shepherd,” formally of HyTown, and by far one of the most talented dog handlers in the history of our town.
Augusto was passing through town when he noticed a young male german shepherd running in and out of traffic. He's seeking the help of HN readers to help reunite the dog with its owner.

Here's a photo of the German Shepherd right before Augusto intervened:
Augusto is an expert dog handler who specializes in caring for and training German Shepherds, so today's lost dog is in good hands until he can be reunited with its owner.
Augusto was recently featured in an HN story after local dog catchers raided his home. Click here to learn more... “SHOCK VIDEO: Barnstable ‘dogcatchers’ raid man’s home… would not tell him why… Will Augusto be run out of town?”
In that situation, Augusto says he still has not received a resolution or anything further from the Town of Barnstable... Due to ongoing harassment from several misguided sources, Augusto was forced out of town. He now reports residing in another town where he finds the Animal Control officer and officials from the town very cooperative and friendly. (More on that situation at a later date.)
Augusto and his remarkable talents were recently highlighted on Inside Edition and other broadcasts. Things have been looking up for Augusto since he left the negative situation here in Barnstable and Augusto says to stay tuned.
It's too bad he was harassed here. It's truly a loss for our town.
Today, Augusto did the right thing by helping this dog. He's a credit to good citizens everywhere and his new town is very lucky to have him.
