WEST YARMOUTH – The entire roof above a wing of the Cape Sands Hotel was torn off and deposited in a nearby marsh after reports of at least one tornado touching down in the Town of Yarmouth.

According to police and fire department emergency radio transmissions, they are responding to reports of damage and trees down across the Mid-Cape, with roadways needing to be completely closed down due to hazards such as live wires down…
