UPDATE… MAJOR BUST: Traffic stop in CC Times driveway yields handgun, drugs, and three arrests… [Video]

Handgun and Narcotics Seized During Traffic Stop in Hyannis
On 8/24/14, at approximately 5:30 pm, Officer Corey Frederickson stopped a motor vehicle on Main St., Hyannis regarding a defective taillight and a marked lanes violation. Upon approaching the vehicle and speaking with the operator, Officer Frederickson smelled the strong odor of marijuana, and he also observed that the operator’s eyes were red and glassy. Officer Frederickson observed that the passenger seated in the front seat was moving his hands repeatedly to his waistband, and he was shifting around in the seat. Officer Frederickson noted that there was also a third person in the vehicle seated in the back seat. Officer Jeff Jackson, Officer Chris Botsford, and Officer John Campbell arrived and a pat-frisk of the passenger was conducted. Officers located a loaded .38 caliber revolver in the passenger’s waistband. Officers also located a bag of marijuana and a bag of heroin on the individual that was seated in the back seat.
The driver, Jeffrey Bartelmy age 19 of Stoughton, was placed under arrest for OUI drugs.
The passenger, Collin Peters age 18 of Mashpee, was placed under arrest for Possession of Class A (heroin) and Possession of Class D (marijuana).
The juvenile, whose name is being withheld, is from Brockton and was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.

HYANNIS – Patrolman Cory Frederickson made a traffic stop on Main Street this afternoon where three individuals were taken into custody after drugs and a firearm were discovered.
According to sources at the scene and police headquarters, one of the suspects was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs when Frederickson began to suspect something more was going on inside the vehicle. The front passenger couldn’t sit still and the passenger in the back seat was also making suspicious movements. Frederickson called for backup and officers found a loaded revolver inside the waistband of one of the passengers. A total of three people were arrested…
Jeffry Barthelmy, age 19, of Stoughton was arrested for Operating Under the Influence of Drugs, Marijuana. Barthelmy has a lengthy criminal record, including one time when he was arrested for driving a motor vehicle which ran a man over after a drug deal gone bad…
The front passenger, age 17, from Brockton had been suspiciously moving around and was pulled out of the vehicle when backup arrived. Officers found a loaded snubnosed 38 revolver inside the juvenile’s waistband. The juvenile, whose name is being withheld, was placed under arrest for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
Collin Peters, age 18, of Mashpee, the passenger in the rear seat, was also removed from the vehicle and searched. Police found marijuana and a large sum of money. While being processed in the booking area at BPD Headquarters, a large amount of heroin fell off his person. The passenger, Collin Peters, was placed under arrest for Possession of Class A (heroin) and Possession of Class D (marijuana).
