*** WATCH *** DRIVER ARRESTED AFTER LEAVING GAPING HOLE IN BREWSTER HOME
BREWSTER – Police responded to 891 Long Pond Road for a car into a house. The house was built in 1829 according to Town of Brewster records. The crash left a gaping hole in the side of the old home. People were home at the time of the crash but were not injured. The driver was also not injured but was arrested for driving under the influence, according to sources. The Brewster Water Department needed to shut off the water because of the damage, and the building inspector’s office was also notified. The residents found another place to stay for the evening.
