*** WATCH *** DUDE WAS REPORTEDLY WALKING UP TO RANDOM FEMALES, OFFERING MONEY IN EXCHANGE FOR “OTHER SERVICES”
HYANNIS – At around 8:30 p.m. last evening, Barnstable Police patrol officers responded to the East End of Main Street for reports of a male walking up to random females and offering them money for “other services,” according to BPD radio traffic. (Sources on scene later confirmed those alleged “other services” were allegedly sexual in nature.)
Several patrolmen soon caught up to a male fitting the description, on the sidewalk in front of the Federated Church. And as you will hear in the following HN Video, officers believed they had the individual they were looking for, according to radio traffic. They ran a name the male had given them, and it did not come back as being valid. An officer on scene dug deeper, made a phone call to someone who knows the male, and convinced the male to eventually give what is now believed to be his real name, Freddy Turcio, age 46, according to radio traffic and sources on scene. All indications are that Turcio is from the Boston area.
A record check revealed Turcio had an active arrest warrant out of Chelsea for some type of assault. Computer records also indicated that Turcio has a criminal history out of Maryland for “assaults and B&Es,” according to radio traffic.
Turcio was placed under arrest for the warrant and at least one additional charge. At the time of this report, police tell HN that Turcio is also being charged with Intimidation of a Witness. Additional charges may follow based on Turcio’s alleged obstruction of justice when he reportedly provided officers with false information regarding his identity. [DEVELOPING]
