*** WATCH *** EARLY A.M. ROAD RACE: Two temporarily detained after East End foot pursuit in Hyannis… investigation ongoing…
HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – As you’ll see and hear in the following HN Video, everyone got a little cardio in this morning when Barnstable Police Patrol Officers engaged in foot pursuit after two males who were apparently fleeing from them in the East End at around 4:20 a.m. Both males were eventually captured and detained… and both males, a 19-year-old from Boston and a 21-year-old from Dennis Port, are said to have firearm related charges on their criminal histories, according to police radio transmissions. The alleged past firearm related charges were a concern as officers talked about a backpack that possibly went missing during the pursuit. A Barnstable Police K-9 unit conducted an article search, and it’s uncertain whether any evidence was recovered. According to police sources, neither of the two males have been criminally charged at this point in the investigation… and both were eventually released at the scene.
