*** WATCH *** FIVE ARRESTED FOR BREAKING & ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME
HYANNIS – [DEVELOPING] – Four young adults and one juvenile were arrested for Breaking & Entering in the Nighttime early this morning, but it wasn’t the first time police had dealt with them during the overnight.

Barnstable Police had their first encounter with this particular group after one of them nearly died during an overdose in a parking lot on Route 132 shortly after midnight. Luckily, a Barnstable Police patrolman with an abundance of medical emergency experience and training, found the patient near death but was eventually able to revive the young man, according to police sources on scene. Once the man came around he reportedly fought with officers as they were trying to get him to go in an ambulance to Cape Cod Hospital.

A vehicle that was at the scene of the overdose allegedly did not stop for police when they tried to stop it. Officers eventually stopped the vehicle later in the morning and an individual was detained. During a search of the vehicle, officers found a realistic looking replica handgun and various other items which raised concern. Ultimately there were no arrests made at that particular time.

A short while after the group was released from the traffic stop, a Barnstable Police patrolman discovered the aforementioned group inside a motel room. They had allegedly broken into a The Hyannis Star Motor Inn on Route 132. The motor inn is no longer open for business. All five were arrested for Breaking & Entering in the Nighttime.
