HYANNIS – Barnstable Police patrol officers responded to an address on Fawcett Lane shortly after midnight, this morning, after a report of a man pulling a gun on someone.

As you will hear in the following HN Video, responding officers detained the male suspected of pulling the gun. Upon further investigation, officers learned the two men live in the same house and they had not been getting along. The male who was detained brought officers into the garage and showed them where he put the gun. It turned out to be a BB gun but the other man did not know that at the time, and was frightened as if it had been a genuine working firearm, according to sources on scene.

The male was arrested and charged with Assault by Means of a Dangerous Weapon. No further information at the time of this report. The following HN Video contains police radio transmissions and footage from the arrest.
