*** WATCH *** MAN ARRESTED AFTER ALLEGEDLY SMASHING EX-GF’S CAR WINDOW WITH HANDGUN
HYANNIS, MASSACHUSETTS – [HN VIDEO NOTES] – As you will see in the following HN Video, last evening around 10:00 p.m., Barnstable Police patrol officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop on a silver Mitsubishi Mirage sedan on Main Street in the East End. According to Cape B.O.L.O broadcasts from the Harwich Police, the 20-year-old male driver was wanted for allegedly smashing his ex-girlfriend’s car window with some type of handgun during a domestic-type disturbance. Officers across the Cape were warned the suspect could possibly be armed with a Glock firearm or a BB Gun replica of a Glock firearm.
The ex-girlfriend was evaluated by Harwich Rescue for possible glass in her eye from the smashed window. Her vehicle was [taken] back to Harwich Police Headquarters for evidence documentation as the investigation continued.
About 15 minutes into the investigation, officers in Barnstable had the ex-boyfriend in custody after the high-risk traffic stop in Hyannis. He was transported to Cape Cod Hospital for unspecified reasons. He was later released from CCH and transported to the Harwich PD under arrest.
The suspect’s silver Mitsubishi Mirage was towed to the Harwich PD for evidence collection.
