HYANNIS, Massachusetts – As you will see and hear in the following HN Video, Barnstable Police squad cars rushed to a reported stabbing inside the Cape Codder Resort at 1225 Iyannough Road earlier this evening, at around 7:30 p.m.

The “victim,” a man, was transported to Cape Cod Hospital. His condition was unknown at the time of this report.

The alleged suspect, a woman, was believed to be barricaded inside one of the rooms along with two children, according to radio transmissions. She appears to have been initially detained, but it’s unclear if she’s facing charges at this hour.

HN briefly spoke with Sgt. Robert Bitinas of the Barnstable Police Department and the investigation is active and ongoing. It’s still remains unclear what actually happened. Police are looking into the entire incident as possibly being “domestic related.” (NOTE: If in fact “domestic related,” and because of state law, HN will be unable to obtain specific details until after an arraignment, if and when charges are filed.)
