WEST YARMOUTH – The wave of serious accidents continue across Cape Cod and the entire region. At about 4:40 p.m. this evening, Yarmouth Police needed to completely shut down Route 28 (near the intersection of Rosemary Lane) in West Yarmouth after a two car collision which hospitalized both drivers. The female driver was initially entrapped and was the most seriously hurt. She suffered multi-system trauma and was taken straight to the Cape Cod Gateway airport in Hyannis and airlifted to an off-Cape trauma center.
