YARMOUTH COPS: 62-year-old man arrested for masturbating near Peter Homer Park… was released after today’s arraignment…
The following is the actual YPD press statement:
On August 14, 2017 at 3:30PM, Yarmouth Police Department Patrol Officer Rick Aprea was dispatched to the area near the basketball courts of Peter Homer Park, which is located at 144 Old Town House Road in South Yarmouth, for a report that a man with a shopping cart, who is believed to be homeless, that was seen masturbating.
Upon arrival, several male and female adult eyewitnesses confirmed the report. They were very upset and worried about the children in the area.
The suspect was positively identified and subsequently placed under arrest.
The suspect was transported to Yarmouth Police Department Headquarters and held overnight. He was transported to the Barnstable District Court this morning for arraignment.
Peter Homer Park is a beautiful facility with no prior issues of concern. The YPD is grateful to the concerned citizens who reported this incident.

MAN ARRESTED FOR LEWD BEHAVIOR RELEASED AFTER ARRAIGNMENT
After he was arraigned on the felony charge this morning, Anderson was released on personal recognizance with court orders to stay away from Peter Homer Park and is back in the community.
