WEST YARMOUTH – [HN NOTES] – A Yarmouth Patrolman reportedly observed the Dodge sedan traveling at a high rate of speed before it turned down Pump House Lane last evening. There was no way out. As the officer moved in to make the stop the sedan spun around the Lane’s cul-de-sac as if trying to trying to leave. The patrolman positioned his cruiser nose-to-nose with the vehicle and that’s when “Show me your hands!” could be heard over the radio.
Everything turned out okay but additional YPD squad cars began making their way to the scene just to make sure…
HN arrived on scene right as officers were placing a young adult male in handcuffs. He was placed in the back of the patrolman’s cruiser under arrest.
As you can see in the above photos, officers seized an assortment of substances. [The substances collected and the way they were packaged raised suspicions. The substances were then placed in an evidence bag for further investigation.]
According to police sources on scene, the driver (and sole occupant of the vehicle) was transported back to YPD Headquarters for booking on [motor vehicle charges]. The investigation was still ongoing at the time of the above HN photos and further details were not immediately available. [DEVELOPING]
* All suspects are presumed to be innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
