WEST YARMOUTH – There was no love on Dove Lane early this morning when a male suspect reportedly gave police officers a hard time, allegedly resisting arrest, according to police radio transmissions. Yarmouth Patrol Officers needed to deploy a Taser to effect the arrest.
As you will see in the following HN Video, at around 1:00 a.m., a Yarmouth FD ambulance responded to an address on Dove Lane for what was initially described as a “fall with a head laceration.” Yarmouth Police Officers also responded, at one point requesting additional squad cars for the male suspect who was allegedly not being cooperative.
An officer on scene announced Taser deployment and the situation was brought under control. The male suspect named Tracey was transported to YPD Headquarters under arrest on unspecified charges. Police on scene classified the incident as a “domestic.”
A member of the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to take photos on Dove Lane, and later at Cape Cod Hospital.
There were at least four juveniles at the address and one of their fathers arrived in a pickup truck shortly after the disturbance, to take custody of his child.
There were no reports of anyone else being injured during the commotion, just the female who was transported to Cape Cod Hospital with what was initially described as a head laceration.
