YARMOUTH PORT – The Massachusetts State Police are investigating a crash which closed down the on-ramp to Route 6 westbound Tuesday evening, causing area delays while officials worked the scene.

Two people were transported from the scene to Cape Cod Hospital by Yarmouth FD. At least one additional patient was transported from the Town of Dennis to CCH after complaining about neck and back pain while being transported home from the scene by a state trooper. None the injuries were considered to be serious or life threatening.

One of the drivers was given field sobriety test but was not placed in custody at the scene. A trooper later radioed that he was delivering “paperwork” to the driver that was given the FSTs, who turned out to be one of the patients transported to CCH.
