HARWICH – At about 6:15 p.m., police and firefighters responded to Route 6 between Exits 10 and 11 for what was initially described as a head-on collision involving 3 vehicles with multiple possible patients. The crash fortunately turned out to be not as bad as it could have been. Seven patients were evaluated with only one person needing to be transported to Cape Cod Hospital for injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
But the crash did close down the highway in both directions for a period of time during a busy time of day.
The cause of the crash is being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police.
