Prior to today’s arrest, Price already had a lengthy criminal history which included convictions and states prison terms for distribution of cocaine, assault with a dangerous weapon, and illegal possession of firearms.
As of right now, Price is still out freely running our streets…
Yesterday, police responded to a routine call involving shoplifters at Kmart on Route 132 in Hyannis.
Officers arrived at Kmart and Price, who was not one of the shoplifters, took off running because he believed he had outstanding warrants out of Orleans.
Police chased him down and there was a struggle which lead to officers having to use a Taser to subdue Price.
At one point, a Barnstable Patrolman was reportedly kicked by Price.
Price was transported back to BPD Headquarters where he was booked and charged with Disorderly Conduct, Resisting Arrest, Assault & Battery on a Police Officer, and Assault & Battery with a Dangerous Weapon.
Patrolman Cory Frederickson was the arresting officer who was reportedly kicked by Price. Frederickson was not seriously injured during the arrest.
Price was eventually released from Barnstable Police custody later yesterday afternoon after posting a measly $1000 cash bail.

THE FOLLOWING IS FROM OUR LOCAL AREA STATE TROOPERS:
Three women and a man who were the occupants of a stolen car were arrested this afternoon after a pursuit on Route 6 westbound from Sandwich to Bourne…
The sequence of events began at 2:40 p.m. when a trooper from the Yarmouth Barracks observed a 2008 Nissan Altima that had been reported stolen. The trooper attempted to stop the car, whose driver refused to stop and fled at a high rate of speed.
The trooper began pursuing the Altima but terminated the pursuit as the suspect vehicle approached traffic stopped at Exit 2. The Altima’s operator drove onto the left shoulder of the road and began driving on the grass to pass the stopped traffic. The Altima continued to travel west.
A second trooper ahead of the fleeing vehicle, who had been working a detail at the Sagamore Bridge, deployed stop sticks — a tire deflation device — on the roadway prior to the bridge. The Altima came to a stop before coming to the stop sticks. The driver and three passengers were then taken into custody.
The driver, DANEKA A. PIRES, 21, of Quincy, was charged with:
1. Using a Motor Vehicle Without Authority;
2. Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, Subsequent Offense;
3. Reckless Operation of a Motor Vehicle;
4. Leaving the Scene of a Crash;
5. Marked Lanes Violation;
6. Speeding;
7. Breakdown Lane Violation; and
8. Receiving Stolen Property.
PIRES was also charged with several warrants.
The three passengers were each charged with receiving stolen property. They are identified as:
SHAQUEIRA C. FERGUS, 21, of Roslindale;
RICHARD A. MENDES, 26, of Boston; and
GLADYS M. OLIVARES, 36, believed to be of Boston.
All four suspects were booked at the State Police Barracks in Bourne.
The operator, PIRES, was transported from the barracks to Tobey Hospital in Wareham after complaining of pain.
No further information is being released at this time.
