Hyannis – Just before midnight last night, a man was awakened by two mask men beating him with a pistol and solid pipe as they dragged him out of bed…
The victim reportedly was stuck in face and head with the handle of the revolver…
They demanded money and stole the victim’s cell phone…
Multiple Barnstable squad cars arrived at building four at Cape Crossroads Condominiums and quickly learned they were dealing with an violent armed home invasion…
One of the attackers pointed the revolver at the victim’s head when he demanded money…
The assailants are described as two black males, all dressed in black, wearing black hoods…
The suspects fled the scene driving a black Honda accord…
The victim was transported to CCH with injuries from the beating, where he was treated and released…

Hyannis – A man approached police last night, stating he had just polished off too much vodka and would be much obliged if they would take him to jail for the evening...
The homeless man said he had recently been kicked out of the local homeless shelter for a period of ten days...
He was grateful for the ride in a warm cruiser, after drinking and staggering the cold streets wasn't panning out...
Officers found it refreshing to have someone in cuffs being so congenial and appreciative of their work.

Several squad cars rushed to the Barnstable High School football field yesterday for a man who was observed wearing a holstered handgun under is sweatshirt...
Officers quickly escorted the man from the stands and confirmed he was an off-duty law enforcement officer from another agency... The man's law enforcement standing makes it legal for him to carry concealed on school grounds.
