Update: Jimmy Lee Perry was well enough to plead not guilty at his arraignment on Monday, 4/7/2014… He is being held on $50,000 cash bail…
Tanisha Lopes also pleaded not guilty and is being held on $25,000 cash bail… [see original report below…]

Sunday: According to Barnstable Police sources, Hyannis News has just learned that Jimmy Lee Perry was rushed to a hospital while still in police custody… Tonight Perry is in a Boston area hospital, still in custody, and guarded by two Barnstable Police Officers…
Saturday at about 4:40pm, Hyannis News observed Hyannis Rescue rushing Perry to CCH with a patrol car directly following…
According to police sources, Perry suddenly became seriously ill and needed to be immediately transported to CCH…
From CCH, Perry was then eventually transported to a Boston Hospital for more intensive treatment…
Unofficial sources say that Perry may have ingested “dope” while inside his jail cell at Barnstable Police Headquarters… that information has yet to be officially confirmed…
Due to HIPAA privacy laws, police are unable to confirm too many details regarding Perry’s current medical crisis and condition…

Hyannis – A victim had just been released from CCH after being treated for a stabbing that occurred earlier this morning, only to be violently beaten with an iron pipe a second time by the same person… he was also hit when a female accomplice tried to run him over…
At about 9:30am, multiple Barnstable Police squad cars, along with at least one state trooper, rushed to the Sea Street area for a report that a man was suffering injuries after an attack…
Officers caught up to and stopped a silver Honda with three individuals in the parking lot of Dunkin Donuts at the intersection of Main Street and Sea Street…
Police quickly learned the Honda was allegedly used as a weapon during the attack…
Other officers and Hyannis rescue arrived with the victim on Sea Street near the intersection with Seabrook Road…
According to witnesses, an enraged man repeatedly beat the victim with a solid iron pipe, knocking him to the ground… It turns out the attacker was the same man wanted for stabbing the victim earlier this the morning…
When the victim tried to return to his feet he was struck and knocked down by a silver Honda that suddenly came flying at him, driven by a female accomplice… The victim once again tried to return to his feet only to be knocked down a third time after the woman reportedly backed up, drove at him again, and struck him with the Honda once again…
Tinisha Lopes, age 30, was arrested and charged with two counts of Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon to wit a motor vehicle. She was also charged with operating a motor vehicle after her driver’s license had been revoked.
According unofficial sources, Lopes had just been recently released from doing time in jail… within the past two weeks more or less…
Jimmy Lee Perry, age 23, was arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Assault and Battery for the stabbing that took place earlier in the morning… Lee was also charged with a second count of Aggravated Assault and Battery for beating the victim with the solid iron pipe…

Both suspects, Lopes and Perry, reportedly claim to be sister and brother… according to unofficial sources…

The victim had a large gash on his elbow and was covered with huge welts and bruises… The gash on the elbow was from the stabbing and had already been treated and closed up using surgical staples prior to the second attack…
Police transported the victim to the scene of the arrests to identify the suspects… they then took him to a nearby parking lot where they photographed and documented his injuries…
The victim and suspects would not give police many clues as to why they were fighting… but officers did learn of a possible third suspect, described as a black male in his 20s who fled the scene just before police arrived…
