HYANNIS – According to the victim, it was “not the first time she assaulted me, but this is the first time she stabbed me…”

At about 7:12PM, Barnstable Police rushed to the area of the West Hyannisport Post Office and Craigville Beach Road after a man reported he had just been stabbed in the back.

While responding, officers were radioed the name of the alleged suspect (“Alexandra Baker”) and that she was at 438 Craigville Beach Road.

HN arrived shortly after the first police cruiser and was approached by the apparent victim who asked if I would like to take a picture of his stab wounds. He explained he had just bought the paring knife as a gift for the suspect. She then allegedly used it to stab him twice in the back. The knife was recently purchased from Shaws Supermarket, as part of some coupon promotion deal, the victim told HN.

When asked why she stabbed him the victim said, “In her mind I’m cheating on her.”

A Hyannis FD ambulance arrived and began treating the victim as police converged on 438 Craigville Beach Road.

Officers ordered the suspect to open the door. They then entered and placed her in handcuffs. She was placed in the backseat of a cruiser and transported from the scene.

The victim was transported to CCH, with what appeared to be non-life-threatening stab wounds.

A crime scene photographer from the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department was called to document the scene of the alleged crime.

HN NOTE: Because of new Massachusetts laws, the name of the domestic violence suspect cannot officially be released until after the arraignment.
