HN Photos: Hyannis assault victim flags down ambulance pleading for help…
HN photo notes: A Centerville-Osterville-Marstons Mills FD ambulance was passing through Hyannis on its way back to Centerville when a young man flagged it down in the area of 349 Main Street early this morning, around 2:00 a.m. The young man was pleading for help and complaining of injuries from an assault and battery that had just happened during some type of altercation in the area of the Hyannis Village Green. A Hyannis FD ambulance, along with a couple of Barnstable Police patrolmen responded to look into the situation. The injured man was transported to Cape Cod Hospital to be treated for injuries believed to be minor. The patrolmen searched the village green for others possibly involved in the altercation. They spoke with a number of homeless individuals but were not able to find other involved parties still on scene…
… it was just more of the usual violence and insanity we’ve come to expect on, or near the Hyannis Village Green.
Otherwise, it was a relatively quiet overnight across the mid-Cape… just the normal arrests for traffic offenses, etc… and as you can see in the following HN photo, it gradually became a very foggy overnight. According to reports, the weather is expected to be warm and muggy as the day wears on.
Please try to have a very safe and splendiferous Hyannis Thursday. Stay cool. Drink plenty of fluids. Avoid violent skirmishes on the town green…
… dream of far-off planets… or more tranquil destinations, while fondly reminiscing about simpler, more peaceful times.
