HN Photos: ‘Twas just another typical “dog day” afternoon in Barnstable…

ABOVE HN PHOTOS: Police and firefighters responded to a report of a single vehicle crash into a tree on Oak Street in Centerville this afternoon. The woman had reportedly suffered some type of sudden medical emergency prior to the crash. She was conscious when HN arrived on scene… and eventually transported to Cape Cod Hospital for evaluation and further care.


ABOVE HN PHOTOS: Barnstable Police and a Hyannis FD ambulance crew responded to West Main Street after a report of a crash involving an eBike vs. motor vehicle this afternoon. The rider of the eBike was evaluated on scene for minor injuries and was not transported to hospital.

ABOVE HN PHOTO: Police and firefighters responded to the rear parking lot of Town Fair Tire in Hyannis this afternoon for a report of a car vs. pedestrian. Once on scene, HN was informed the SUV had backed into a pedestrian, briefly pinning him against a parked vehicle. The pedestrian’s injuries were not believed to be life-threatening. The Barnstable Police investigated with assistance from a member of the sheriff’s crime scene unit.

ABOVE HN PHOTO: A man with a sheep dog stops on Barnstable Road to yell something at police officers (see following HN video), while some motorists traveling in the opposite direction become angry at being held up in traffic by the man and his shaggy friend. It remains uncertain what message the man was trying to share, first with officers, and then with HN… (anyone speak sheep dog?)
