HN PHOTOS: Critical Friday evening moments…

In the above photos, bystanders look on as police and EMTs rushed to a downtown nightclub in Hyannis for a nightclub staff member suffering a serious medical emergency. It happened shortly prior to closing as patrons from local establishments were emptying onto the sidewalk. Police questioned witnesses, not completely sure what may have caused the man to become unconscious. (Most witnesses were cooperative…) It was reported the patient may have been in an earlier scuffle with an unruly patron and struck his head, a short time prior to suddenly collapsing. It was an acutely distressing scene for most bystanders, especially those who knew the patient. [Additional details were unavailable at the time of this report…]
A friend of the patient reached out to HN to report the man is currently in intensive care.
UPDATE: The last word on the patient is that he was in rough shape but appears to have taken a turn for the better… and remains in intensive care. Police are keeping a close eye on this incident…
Please keep this man and his loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
In the following photos, firefighters rescued two entrapped patients from a rollover crash. The crash happened last evening on Route 6A. A pickup truck had left the roadway and crashed through a utility pole, eventually coming to rest on its side. A windshield needed to be removed and glass broken in order to extricate a man and woman from the wreckage. Both were standing on their own with very little assistance prior to being transported to Cape Cod Hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Route 6A needed to be closed while crews replaced a shattered utility pole…
