HYANNIS – Ahhh yes, it’s that time of year again, the Red Sox are back in action, the weather is finally warming up, drunken grown men are fighting in the streets…

Police and rescue had to rush to Lewis Street this afternoon, a family neighborhood, after receiving reports of a man lying in the middle of the street after some sort of altercation…

Police had to place the stricken man in handcuffs just so rescue workers could secure him onto a stretcher. Both men were apparently very intoxicated. The man down in the street was taken to CCH. The other was sent on his way with sober more responsible friends. According to police radio traffic, the incident resulted in some type of ‘simple assault.’
